Donna Marie Taylor also known as The Timid Palate can be spotted buzzing around her hometown of Washington, DC looking for great tasting yet inexpensive wines with amazing labels. Her blog came to life in 2011. Donna writes about how wine can be paired with the most unusual topics, foods, and or things. Although sited that her “writings are often thought- provoking”, she feels passionate yet timid about being inspired by wine labels.

The Timid Palate is currently read by over 2,000 Facebook followers which include Goggle+ circles, friends and family social pages and or groups. Many of her followers are members of both her college and high school alma maters: University of Maryland, Liberty University, VA., and Duke Ellington Performing Arts High School, DC along with many Alumni Associations.  Donna has single-handedly mothered two handsome valentines (sons), one of which is a mechanical engineer and the youngest aspires to become an architect. She is an avid lover of reading and collecting all kinds of genres of books; loves specialty teas and coffee, and owns what she thinks is an unusual small wine collection.

Donna is sometimes sought after to uncork her love for cooking, entertaining, doing wine soirées/gatherings for bridal showers, fundraisers, networking mixers, and uncorking the interest of people who might want to learn about the wine industry. Donna celebrates daily her zest for life and her writing that she wants do for a living one day.

As my life quiets down and moves into softer yellows, deep reds, and spicy oranges like a 20 year old bottle of scotch; I want to keep a quiet voice of confidence in my spirit. I want to keep intelligent people around me; grow old gracefully; and be silly as often as I can. This will help keep the rainbows in my life.
